Some students may experience difficulty joining their Collaborate meeting. Common issues include:

  • Getting stuck at the spinning purple circle.
  • Getting kicked out of a meeting.
  • Can't dial in because all circuits are full.

This is due to the high volume of people using this platform world wide as schools are closed and courses are moved completely online.

If you can't access Collaborate, please try the troubleshooting tips below?

  • First, make sure that you are using Google Chrome as your browser.
  • If that doesn't work, try switching to the Firefox browser. Although this is not the first choice, Firefox can be used as an alternative if you're having issues.
  • Close all programs on your computer except for the browser you are using for your Collaborate Session.
  • Try clearing your cache. Click for instructions on how to clear cache.
  • Close out of the browser and restart your computer. Try to open or join Collaborate again.
  • If possible, wait a few minutes (5-10 minutes) and then try again.

If you are still unable to join your Collaborate meeting, send your instructor an email as soon as possible and let them know. Check with the instructor to see if there is a recording available for viewing at a later time.
