You will need to install a certificate to your computer in order to correct this error.  If you are not comfortable installing certificates or other items on your computer, please consult an IT professional.

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

  1. Download and run the attachment at the bottom of this FAQ or click https://ssl-ccp.godaddy.com/repository/gdig2.crt (IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU MARK "ALWAYS ALLOW" FOR THIS OR IT WILL NOT WORK).
  2. Locate the .crt file in downloads and open it.  This will open the Add Certificates dialog.                                                                                                                                                                                                   open_cert.png
  3.  Select the default login Keychain and click Add.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   keychain.png      The image illustrate how to add root certificate to Mac OS X
  4. After you have downloaded the certificate, uninstall Lockdown browser and re-install using the following link:  Respondus Lockdown Browser for Gwinnett Technical College (IMPORTANT: Make sure you are installing the MAC version of the Respondus Lockdown browser)

After you have reinstalled Lockdown browser, login and begin working.

If you were doing this for Google Chrome, I would suggest clearing cache first and then restarting your Chrome browser.  On some occasions, you will need to restart your computer fully before all changes take effect.
