Follow the Steps Below:

1. All students must begin in the Start Here module of every course on Gwinnett Tech Blackboard.

Open up the Start Here module and make sure to view the Syllabus and Technology Requirements Check items first.

Then you will be able to open and complete the "No Show Assignment."

Click on the "No Show Assignment" to begin.

2. Next, click the "Launch" button on the right-hand side of your screen.

3. The SoftChalk No Show Assignment will launch in a new browser tab.

There will be a pop-up with a "Reminder" to "click the Finish button on the last page."
Note: There is actually only one page - you will click the "Finish" button at the bottom of the page when you are ready to submit.

Click on the "Continue" button in the bottom-right corner of this pop-up to start the assignment.

You will then view the No Show Assignment page, as seen in the screenshot below:

4. There is only one question to answer for the No Show Assignment.

You must answer "True" to the question in order to score 100%, which is required to continue in the course and access the Lessons module.

First, click on the radio button to the left of "True."

Then, you must click the "Check Answer" button.

After selecting "True" and clicking the "Check Answer" button, you will receive the 10 points for the question.

Your score will be displayed below the question, as well as in the top-right corner of the screen.

Important Note: If you do not click the "Check Answer" button, you will not receive the points for this question, and you will not be able to unlock the Lessons module in your course.

Make sure that you click the "Check Answer" button!

5. To submit your score to Blackboard, you must then click the "Finish" button at the bottom-center of the page.

You may need to scroll down to see the "Finish" button.

6. A pop-up will appear that says "Your Score Has Been Submitted."

If you would like your score receipt, click on "Score Receipt" in the bottom-right corner of the pop-up.

Next, you can choose to either have the score receipt e-mailed to you, or you can print a copy of the receipt.

To print a copy of the receipt, click on the "Print Receipt" button.

To e-mail the receipt, enter your e-mail address into the "Email" box and then click the "Email Receipt" button.

Note: The receipt is not required, but you may want a copy of it, just in case.

7. After your score has been submitted, you can return to the Blackboard course by closing the SoftChalk No Show Assignment browser tab.

8. Once you have returned to the Blackboard course, you should see that the No Show Assignment has been completed and checked off.

However, if the check mark does not appear next to the No Show Assignment, you can refresh your browser page and it will then show as completed.

Sometimes it takes a little while - typically a few seconds - for Blackboard to sync with SoftChalk, which is why this can happen.

Even if the No Show Assignment was checked off when returning to the Blackboard course, sometimes the Lessons module will still show as "Content isn't available."

Again, if you refresh your browser page, the Lessons module should become available.

Another way you can check on this is by going into the course gradebook.

Click on the "Gradebook" tab from the main course menu at the top of the screen.

In the gradebook, you should check to make sure you scored 100% on the No Show Assignment.

If you did not score 100%, you will need to open the assignment and complete it again correctly.

If you did score 100%, then you can click on the "Content" tab to return to the main course page...

...and the Lessons module should now be available!
